The Journey of our club RC SILK CITY PINK has started with the initiative of Rtn Sandip Kundu. Past president of RC SILK CITY. It is women base club various new members of different professions joined the caravan. Our club journey started in the year 2022 with taking 20 female members. The club was chartered on 8th March 2022. The club has a history of community service and women Empowerment. During the rotary year 24 to 25 we have just completed our 2nd installation ceremony. Infact in the rotary year 25 to 26 it was an women board of members selected during the said tenure. Flagship project’s during last 3 years. Every year at least 2 Sanman projects are being done that is felicitating the Safai Karamchari (cleaning staff) of municipal corporation with gift and food packet in a function and appreciating their dedication and hard work in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Eye Camp is our permanent project. Our club has done over 5 Eye Camps especially in remote places of like Sahapur and Nariyali etc. Dental Camps _ Our club has done over 6 free dental camp every year where we provide the beneficiaries free medicines . We for her _ we have been organised menstrual hygiene Talk and WINS program every months with taking two or more school’s. We organised Adolescents awareness campaigns every month at any school of remote village. These are our permanent projects which r running throughout the year. Except these Tree plantation,Flood Relief, Financial aid are some of projects we have done over the years . Cloth distribution program Every year we distributed new clothes among the children’s at Hobibpur on the occasion of Durga puja this is also our permanent project . This year our club conducted a farming training program with taking 30 farmers under the guidance of Dr Suddhasuchi Das ( scientist agriculture department of Malda District) about Dragon fruit farming at Aat mile (Rural belt of Malda District)on 20 /10/2024. On the celebration of International literacy Day our had reached at Nariyali gram rural belt of Malda block where our club organised a camp about "value of education" there also We had distributed book’s, crayons cake amongst 40 beneficiaries children’s. Women Empowerment Every year Our club RC SILK CITY PINK handed over two or more sewing machines at the centre of Hobibpur bhalukbona. Every month our team visits there and noticed there work also noticed their economical development through it. Every month we do a free health maternal checkup. Last year on the August month our club had conducted a free health maternal checkup under the supervision of Dr Rudrendu Chatterjee (Gynecologist) at Nagaria rural belt of Malda. There we have distributed medicine’s among the underprivileged mothers. The above projects are our permanent projects which are run over every year.The club has passionate Rotarians who have dedicated themselves to serving humanity. The club has faced challenges but has overcome them and has come out stronger. In the rotary year 24 to 25 Rtn Sudha Kundu was installed as the president and rtn Lipi saha was the secretary at the 2nd installation ceremony.
